Music

On this website I try to post a link to YouTube and Spotify for you convenience so you can have a listen to that particular album if you’re not familiar with it or feel like listening to it again. There are however a couple of things you need to know.

The music is not stored on this website and the links are not posted to make any personal gain. This website is free to use for all, so no money is being made off of this.

Some of the albums were originally released on vinyl back in the day. Later releases of those albums (on CD) were sometimes complemented with additional (bonus) tracks, combined with EP’s or completely remixed and/or remastered or altered in any way that it differs from the initial release. I try to give you the closest representationto the original I can find on either Youtube or Spotify. Most of the times Spotify doesn’t have the original recording, just the remastered version.

Sometimes an album does not even appear to be on Spotify at all (e.g. ‘Feel the Fire’ by Overkill). In that case only the YouTube version is posted. Maybe some day those albums will appear on Spotify. In other cases an album does appear, but it is combined with other tracks (‘Obsessed by Cruelty’ by Sodom) and /or could even be named differently (‘Illusions’ by Sadus). In these cases I made either a personal playlist which only contain the songs that are on the post’s list, or post a link to the renamed album with the same tracks.

Spotify is also known for removing songs/albums due to legal obligations (contracts with record companies, broadcasting rights, distribution rights, etc.). So it is not unthinkable a post could, at some point, contain a link to Spotify that doesn’t work anymore. This is completely beyond my control.

YouTube is not perfect either. In very rare cases an album might not be posted on YouTube in its entirety and a link to every single track is posted. I always try to find the closest match to the original recording but it might be a publication by someone that has unjustfully posted this and it is possible those publications are taken down so the link to that particular video doesn’t work anymore or, for some repurposing reasons, the link suddenly leads to a completely different video. This is also beyond my control.

I do all of this because of my love for metal music and all of this is purely setup and maintained in my spare time. No monetization or gain in any other sense is being tied to this website. It’s all pure fun and interest.
